UCSB NSF Research Traineeship (NRT) Program on Data Driven Biology led by Professors Pruitt, Petzold, Manjunath and Clegg.
We are pleased to announce the launch of the newly awarded NRT program for PhD training in Data Driven Biology (DDB). DDB is led by Professors Pruitt, Petzold, Manjunath and Clegg and aims to bring together experimental and modeling methods for extracting knowledge from data-dense quantitative biology experiments. DDB aims to integrate machine learning, data science, and quantitative image and bioinformatic analysis with trainees’ PhD research projects in the departments of Biomolecular Science & Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical & Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Molecular, Cellular, & Developmental Biology, and Physics.
