My PhD project within Beth Pruitt’s lab will look at pluripotent stem cells within the cardiomyocytes to understand the heterogeneity and differentiation. With the use of single cell RNA sequencing, we hope to further understand the morphological data. From this training program, I’ve been exposed to different sequencing analyzing methods that can unveil different information. The training will help me apply these techniques to our stem cells and incorporate the beth technique for extracting and expanding our meta data. With the expansion of information, we can get an insight into genetic profiles of these cells.
