Trent Llewellyn

Trent received a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of New Mexico in 2021 where he participated in original research studying microbial communities in extreme regions, naturally occurring photosystems for the design and engineering of new photovoltaic devices, and photochromic chemical species for the design of smart materials. Trent then participated in an internship in Aachen, Germany in their Matter to Life program optimizing devices for microfiber creation. Trent became a post-bachelor student at Los Alamos National Laboratory in 2022 designing diagnostic techniques for early disease detection and prevention. Trent is interested in the study and design of novel biomaterials for medical application using modern computational methods to analyze complex, heterogeneous data.
